Java brief Intro

Java is a OOP (object oriented language). Which means we see ‘who is effected’ instead of ‘what is happening’.

Java was conceived by :

1. James Gosling
2. Patrick Naughton
3. Chris Warth
4. Ed Frank
5. Mike Sheridan

at Sunmicrosystems inc. in 1991.

• Took 18 Months for first version

• At the start java’s name was oak

• Renamed to java in 1995

Aim to develop java : To develop a platform independent (architecture neutral) language that can be use to create software to be embedded in various consumer electronic devices.
